Katie Burnett "My primary goal is to bring my lifelong interest in fitness and a love for helping others to achieve their goals to my work as a personal trainer. I came to personal training and The Center Studio after coming off a break from my previous career as an artist, art teacher, and track coach -- a break I took to be with my three young children. When I began running at an early age with my father, I quickly came to appreciate the social aspect of running and discovered the rewards that come from facing the mental and physical challenges of exercise. Working as a certified personal trainer has provided me with an exciting new opportunity to share with my clients, my belief in the long-term health benefits of active living."
Andrea Cawthorn As a role model and professional in the field of fitness, Andrea's goal has always been to motivate members and guide them so that they too will be responsible for their health. Fitness and health have always been a huge part of Andrea's life and she loves the fact that she can help do the same for others. In addition to Personal Training, Andrea teaches Strength and Cardio Interval, Body Wedge Strength and Stretch, SPINNING and Super Sculpt.
Mariann Fiori Mariann holds a BS degree from Central Connecticut State University. She is a certified Personal Trainer and SPINNING Instructor. When not working she enjoys jogging, kayaking, snowshoeing, walking with her golden retriever, golfing, and vacationing with her family at the Jersey Shore.
Wesley Hart, Director of Fitness Starting as an assistant instructor at the University of Portsmouth (UK), Wesley worked in the Department of Sports and Exercise Science. As lead physiology technician he worked on undergraduate and postgraduate research. During this period he also worked with one of the UK's leading swimming teams as well as professional soccer players and several top student athletes. During this period he also began a long and successful association with the multi- world record holding Spirit powerboat team, overseeing the physical training for their 1997 world record trans-Atlantic crossing. The team went on under Wesley's guidance to break the London - Monaco speed record the round Britain Record (for a RIB) as well as complete several other 'first time' rips for their boat class. Since 1997 Wesley has been a fulltime fitness consultant, personal trainer and teacher. He has trained hundreds of clients, has appeared in newspapers, magazines, books and on radio and television. Wesley's credentials speak for themselves. He has trained with both the ACSM and NASM, he holds, in addition to a black belt in karate, certifications in weight training, group exercise, indoor cycling, Boxercise and behavioral change management.
Lisa Hughes, Director of Rehabilitation Most recently Lisa finished her studies in Massage Therapy. Her massage specialties are sports massage, deep tissue, and myofascial work. Lisa takes a unique approach at personal training and general health and fitness. She combines her knowledge of exercise science and biomechanics to postural awareness and musculoskeletal understanding. "I feel it's important to combine many disciplines when training. By utilizing traditional weight training and cardiovascular exercises and adding other disciplines like yoga, pilates, interval training, speed and agility work, and flexibility, one is able to achieve a more balanced body. Having worked with collegiate and professional athletes, weight loss clients, individuals working through injuries, and the geriatric client, I would have to say they all have two things in common; muscle tension and stress. We live in such a fast-passed world that we become so disconnected from our bodies. We tend to function on autopilot, not paying attention to our bodies, ignoring warning signs of stress and strain. The work I do is one in which the client can get an education and gain a new awareness and understanding about their bodies. Then they can use these new skills to impact their daily lives in a positive way."

Bonnie Scranton Proudest moments: giving birth to my children, watching them play sports, and completing marathons and triathlons while my husband and kids cheer me on. Favorite type of client: There is really nothing that compares to working with women who were not previously "allowed" to be athletic, whether due to societal constraints or through personal choices. I love to watch women shock and amaze themselves at how strong they are, especially when these new athletes realize that their strength has been there all along. When they then able to apply new-found skills and confidence to other areas of their lives, to integrate the physical, emotional and psychological, that is the ultimate success story.
Dave Vibert An outdoor enthusiast, Dave enjoys hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and mountain biking. He has partnered with his friend and fellow trainer, Rob Mullins, to offer outdoor "mini-adventures" to families and other groups. Dave's favorite (stolen) fitness quote: "fitness is a journey not a destination"
