Weight Loss
The desire for weight loss is the most common motivation for hiring a trainer. We will educate and guide you through a plan that will include all the necessary components of a fat loss program. They include: consistent, moderate aerobic exercise, intelligent and purposeful eating, and the preservation of metabolically charged muscle through a safe and comprehensive weight-training program. All three must be addressed to achieve real and sustained results. To achieve this, consultation with our Registered Dietician is a must. Additionally, unique conditioning techniques will be utilized to give you the greatest return on your investment.

Women's Health
Our expert staff is qualified and sensitive to the unique needs of women. From pre-natal and post partum exercise to understanding the challenges older women face such as osteoporosis and arthritis, we are capable of tailoring a program that agrees with your body. We also collaborate with Eastern Rehab Network in working with women who have had breast surgery and have participated in ERN’s Lymphedema Management Program. Our relationship with The University of Connecticut Health Center's Celebrate Women program has given us and our clients access to presentations, information and expert practitioners in areas that are important to women of all ages.

Exercise and Aging
Older men and women may require different exercise strategies than their younger counter parts. From cardiovascular and orthopedic issues to certain age related disease states, older adults need instructors who are conscientious in their preparation prior and during an exercise session. Our staff is experienced in helping seniors to build strong, resilient and agile bodies in a safe and thoughtful manner.

Athletic Performance
Whether you are an elite college or high school athlete or simply a weekend warrior, be prepared to become a better athlete through our expertly designed sports conditioning program. Led by Marilyn Walker, former Strength and Conditioning Coordinator from the University of Florida, Brown University and the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, you will receive the most scientifically sound and proven techniques available to improve your strength, speed, agility, power, coordination and core strength. Most importantly, you will perform better on the playing field and with less injuries. This model of training can be adapted for non athletes, adolescents, men and women as well as older adults.

Wellness and Prevention
If you are interested in improving your fitness, your energy, posture, stamina, if you have back pain or are recovering from surgery, if you currently have or are concerned about a history of diabetes, heart disease or simply want to feel good, we have system in place to guide you safely and effectively. We will coordinate a strategy that will involve our team of experts (along with your own practitioner when appropriate) to design a complete plan for you that is consistent with your goals and concerns. Whether you are trying to get back in shape or are starting an exercise program for the first time, you will be amazed at how painless and rewarding the experience can be.

12 Week Makeover
This is a 12-week program combining one-on one nutrition counseling from our in-house Dietician and an ambitious exercise program administered through our Group Exercise Program or our Personal Training Service.

In 12 weeks, you will experience significant, measurable changes in your weight, body fat percent and measurements. Guaranteed!

This Body Makeover program is the culmination of months of research, experimentation and planning by our fitness staff. The power of this program comes from the synergy between intelligent, personalized nutrition coaching and the appropriate blend of exercise strategies. It is guaranteed to produce results.

You will receive a structured and customized nutrition-counseling program led by our Registered Dietician and a precisely crafted exercise regimen that is designed to burn calories, rev up your metabolism and tone muscle. The exercise portion of the program will include a unique sequencing of classes and training strategies that will promote even greater metabolic changes and body definition. We’ll tell you exactly what to do.

Your Body Makeover Program will require a 12-week commitment and some diligent work.
